Chaka Khan.....................Chaka Khan is one of the most popular and richest R&B Singer who was born on March 23 1953 in Chicago Illinois United States. R&B vocalist who's version of R&B vocalist whose version from the song Prince's I Feel for You is widely regarded as a smash. I Feel for You, the hit track performed by Rufus Frontwoman is widely acknowledged as a success. The singer is also leader of Rufus. Khan was brought up as the daughter of a Catholic. Her education was at the Hyde Park Saint Thomas the Apostle Church elementary school. She attributed her love of music to her grandmother, who brought her into jazz as when she was a young child. Khan began listening to jazz and blues as early as in her preteen years. At the age of 11years old, Khan began a group along together with Taka, which is also one of Khan's sisters. Khan along with her mother's daughter Connie participated in civil rights protests during the 60s. Connie was an active supporter and a friend of Fred Hampton. Fred Hampton is a Chicago native, and is a Black Panther Party member. There is a belief that she was given the name Chaka in the Panthers however she claims it was a Yoruba Baba who gave her the name when she was 13, when she was first a member. When she left the Panthers she stopped going to high school after she had studied in Calumet High School. The singer began to sing in small groups throughout the Chicagoland region. The first group was Cash McCall's Lyfe group also included Hassan Khan. Chaka and Hassan were married in the year 1970.
