Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16-year old American who was born in Miami Florida. She is half English half Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is an native of Argentina with Scottish as well as English descendant is also her mother. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English descent. Taylor-Joy, who is youngest of five children. Four come from her father's previous marriage. The family was in Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria area in London. According to Taylor-Joy the relocation was difficult and she was unable to study English with the intention of returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she moved from Northlands. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. At the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to concentrate on her acting career. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actress from a very young age. She realized her dream after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling gig.
