Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn. to a family of 12 poor children who would grow up in the same household, understood very early how to get out of her difficulties by using her rich and vibrant imagination. She was writing songs before she learned to read or write. When she was 8 and had the first electric guitar. Then she began singing for a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. At the time, she also recorded her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. She made a name for herself in the local scene while still at high school, yet she dreamed of performing on a bigger stage. The day after she graduated in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist for his show that was syndicated until this point. Parton took the offer when she was signed in 1967 by RCA Records in 1968 and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. But she resigned from the show in 1974 when her solo albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. Parton, after the split of their collaboration with Wagoner she wrote the song"I Will Never Love You and made it to the top spot at No. In 1974, the track by Parton I Will Always Be Loved You was a hit at the No.
