Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin, who was raised in Wellington but was born and raised in Winnipeg began her acting career in The Piano. At age 11, she became the tiniest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24 in 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as the curious and sociable daughter of Holly Hunter's leading role on the film The Piano. If she answered a request for auditions, she won the role as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who relocates in New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. She was only nineteen and did not have any performing experience. When she was in her teens, the actress moved to America. Paquin played the child title in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. The actress also had the title role in Fly Away Home, a film that was released in that same year. Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. She also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and also played in the role of the polexia Aphrodisa girl in Almost Famous (2000).
