Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, educator, and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl and watching her mom doing her job. Her appearances in commercials were numerous in her early years. Anna relocated to Toronto for her acting to grow. The actress later relocated Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. Anna was a convert to Judaism at the time and Seth Cooperman got wed in the month of December in Fredericton. In April of 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows with the traditional Jewish ceremony.
